Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. Titouan Levet hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmut Lossimäe having to interfere. Helmut Lossimäe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 10th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmut Lossimäe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Fc Kertzfeld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mounir Clenet to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 21st minute of play forced Fc Kertzfeld's goalkeeper Helmut Lossimäe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helmut Lossimäe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Helmut Lossimäe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joël Rétière made a kick off. Helmut Lossimäe made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when David Eikelkamp sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmut Lossimäe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helmut Lossimäe made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Fc Kertzfeld's Helmut Lossimäe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 56th minute of play. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teo Esiquio's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The audience was convinced that Joël Rétière's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joël Rétière in the 63rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Helmut Lossimäe. That made the score 0-1 after 66 minutes of play. Fc Kertzfeld's Wesley Donato was substituted for Florent Sorlin. In the 72nd minute of the match Joël Rétière shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Joël Rétière had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joël Rétière was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 83rd match minute, Fc Kertzfeld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Bernot to maneuver through the defense. Charles Bernot kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Fc Kertzfeld got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Josef Saumon. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Helmut Lossimäe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Netherlands were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
