Spain's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Kraig Fred scored to the left of an out of position Gabriel Ascaso, making the score, 1-0. Kraig Fred struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Gabriel Ascaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes de América. Marcos Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Toledo in the 16th minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Toledo in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Estudiantes de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Van Der Veecken to maneuver through the defense. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Spain from getting a goal against them. Estudiantes de América's Kraig Fred got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Aranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Spain's Adria Bielsa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Ranolfo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
