The supporters of CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Nijveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 16th minute of play. Duarte Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ulisses Duarte hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Duarte Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Duarte Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Ulisses Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Duarte Duarte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Meesters went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Duarte Duarte made a huge save. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Vegetti in the 72nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
