Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Luan Campidelis made the kick off and thus started the match. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luan Campidelis in the 5th minute of play. After 8 minutes, Albin Holweck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Esporte Clube Zeus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luan Campidelis in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Luan Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Claudio Caniggia made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Janik Vogt hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luan Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Krakouer to maneuver through the defense. Chico Răica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the game, Sven Krakouer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esporte Clube Zeus the free kick. In the 35th minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luan Campidelis in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chico Răica saved Esporte Clube Zeus from getting behind. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Chico Răica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Caniggia in the 45th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Esporte Clube Zeus were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Aleksandr Mirkovich kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 54th minute of play forced Esporte Clube Zeus's goalkeeper Chico Răica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Răica having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Luan Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Luan Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aleksandr Mirkovich hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 70th minute of play forced Esporte Clube Zeus's goalkeeper Chico Răica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes, Tales Saldanha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esporte Clube Zeus and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Frank Sachs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Claudio Caniggia could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Tommy Kahn however easily saved by the left post. In the 85th minute, Luan Campidelis made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Luan Campidelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Chico Răica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 92nd minute of the match. Chico Răica came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esporte Clube Zeus eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
