Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Bernardo Amorim however easily saved by the left post. The Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Sadurni in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Segundo Sadurni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Segundo Sadurni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Sadurni in the 17th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 19th minute of the game was made by Kees Mooiweer with Gijsbert ter Kruimer as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Segundo Sadurni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernardo Amorim made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Segundo Sadurni went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Meesters got free with Bernardo Amorim in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Segundo Sadurni came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Humos del Cairo FC's Ciriaco Amaya got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Sadurni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kees Mooiweer made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Humos del Cairo FC's Honorio Harri. After 53 played minutes Humos del Cairo FC got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Ugutz. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Amorim having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when German Unax came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 63rd minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Amorim. Humos del Cairo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Humos del Cairo FC's Eustacio Sabino was substituted for Hector Haimar. German Unaxs short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 78 minutes into the game, German Unax lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, German Unax had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that German Unax was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Although Netherlands had been in control for most of the match, Humos del Cairo FC still came away with the win.
