Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zacarias Francesco took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Francesco got free with Casper Claes in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Characate FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Daunte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Belgium's Sander Dermaut getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Francesco in the 15th minute of play. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Francesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Osvaldo Daunte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Daunte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 26th minute of play. Uriel Paio hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Belgium's attentive Simon Sabbe managed to snatch the ball when Uriel Paio made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Osvaldo Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Vanderstraeten made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Afonso in the 52nd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Yves Dervaux got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Belgium booed when Characate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emre Can didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Daunte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. After 67 played minutes Characate FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Santikurtz. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Afonso in the 75th minute of the match. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Afonso in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Afonso in the 93rd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
