Ciro Pirro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere. Jonathan Criado made in the 10th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jon Cubero immediately put the ball in play. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kraig Fred in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Kraig Fred ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Ascaso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 28th minute, Kraig Fred made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Ascaso. Spain's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 32nd match minute, Estudiantes de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kert Roolaid to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Spain's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maximo Dei was slow to take the kick. During this time Estudiantes de América's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Estudiantes de América's Flavio Iraunkor to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Ascaso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcos Ranolfo made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Vicente Merino sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Merino got free with Marcos Ranolfo in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kraig Fred, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Spain!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Omar Toledo made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kraig Fred got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of Spain booed when Estudiantes de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Ruisko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estudiantes de América's Concetto Trasatti was substituted for Kraig Fred. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Orlando Beltza replaced Cornelio Ruisko. Estudiantes de América's Traian Blăniță was substituted for Flavio Iraunkor. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cornelio Ruisko hit a great ball. Marcos Ranolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Aranda in the 66th minute of the match. Marcos Ranolfo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Aranda's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 66 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Spain's David Aranda fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Beltza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Trasatti in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Blăniță. The corner led Estudiantes de América's Maximo Dei to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Ascaso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Maximo Dei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gabriel Ascaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spain made a substitution. Sergio Ruiz replaced Adria Bielsa. Spain's Pau Herrero was substituted for David Aranda. Estudiantes de América were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Spain's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maximo Dei took the corner. Marcos Ranolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carles Cherro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Ranolfo came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Spain's Carles Cherro. But to his dismay, Carles Cherro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4.
