Robert Chapuis hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Frank Peletier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy Berger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Nazario Ispuzua was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ALIANZA 1901's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave France the free kick. After 22 played minutes ALIANZA 1901 got a freekick which was hit by Nazario Ispuzua. In the 23rd minute of the match, Frank Peletier got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ruy Berger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 36th minute, ALIANZA 1901's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frank Peletier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Richie Ason kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Camille Baume sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nazario Ispuzua kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. David Barbier was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Peletier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Tomasini in the 50th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camille Baume kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, ALIANZA 1901's Richie Ason nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxime Durand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Ruy Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Peletier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Peletier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy Berger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Alfredo Tomasini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Luis Escobar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maxime Durand. Luis Escobar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. After some careless play in the ALIANZA 1901 defense, Frank Peletier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Berger. The ALIANZA 1901 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Berger should have stopped the shot. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Escobar in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by France's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nazario Ispuzua was slow to take the kick. During this time ALIANZA 1901's players had a chance to rest. The corner led ALIANZA 1901's Nazario Ispuzua to fire away a dangerous shot which Maxime Durand despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 87 minutes, Luis Escobar made it 1-7 with a short kick to the right side. France's Maxime Durand tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Quentin Beaux hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ALIANZA 1901 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
