RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marcelino Verdeja was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wilson Amorim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 12th minute, Caetano Galnares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Marcelino Verdeja dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim, 2-0. Marco Pedriza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viriato Moura went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Verdeja, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. RACIN DE CHAWEN were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erlantz Duran took the corner. Marco Pedriza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 28th minute of play. When Caetano Galnares came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the RACIN DE CHAWEN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano Galnares couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Barreto in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Pedriza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Rufo Serra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rufo Serra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Marco Pedriza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, RACIN DE CHAWEN's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Marco Pedriza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Pedriza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 42nd minute of the match. Marco Pedriza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Verdeja in the 48th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Caetano Galnares made the kick off in the second half. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marco Pedriza made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Galnares in the 53rd minute of play. With his leg Marco Pedriza managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Portugal's Caetano Moreira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Portugal booed when RACIN DE CHAWEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Verdeja didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 played minutes RACIN DE CHAWEN got a freekick which was hit by Xulian Abellan. 64 minutes into the match, RACIN DE CHAWEN's goalkeeper Marco Pedriza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. In the 66th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pedriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
