Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Machado Santianes started the match with the kick off. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Sarratea in the 2nd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Emanuel Sueiro made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yin Cheng Han prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute, Adrian Lluba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jakub Wejta made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Germany's Janik Vogt. 13 minutes into the match, Independiente del Río's goalkeeper Yin Cheng Han had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. When Independiente del Río's Machado Santianes in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Germany booed when Independiente del Río was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakub Wejta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Machado Santianes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Marchamalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yin Cheng Han. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Yin Cheng Han didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Sachs went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Yin Cheng Han made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. When Independiente del Río's Machado Santianes in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. Albin Holweck's late challenge caught a Independiente del Río's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Holweck helped the player get up and apologised. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. Emanuel Sueiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. In the 53rd minute Machado Santianes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germany's Linus Schwerner quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fabian Baldaliso, made in the 54th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Lluba in the 59th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independiente del Río's Yin Cheng Han played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 62nd minute of play. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Machado Santianes went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Machado Santianes came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Baldaliso struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente del Río. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Emanuel Sueiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute, Rogelio Sarratea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Machado Santianes in the 91st minute of play. The Independiente del Río supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Independiente del Río would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
