Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elpidio Francis kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Branislav Velchevski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 6th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Elpidio Francis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. After 16 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Suarez. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Prosperi took the corner. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elpidio Francis's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Elpidio Francis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski. Branislav Velchevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Prosperi. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Branislav Velchevski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Viriato Moura made the kick off in the second half. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 51st minute of the match. After some careless play in the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Branislav Velchevski. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Branislav Velchevski should have stopped the shot. Raul Caetano hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Elpidio Francis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Branislav Velchevski made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Elpidio Francis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Arnaldo Gabon was substituted for Miguel Prosperi. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After 75 minutes Portugal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Venancio Havier who took care of the corner kick. If Bartolomeu Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Branislav Velchevski threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bartolomeu Dias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 89th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portugal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Portugal:s Wilson Amorim showed great skill when he stopped Elpidio Francis:s penalty. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Portugal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
