After 43 minutes, David Eikelkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Gremengo FCCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Batho Canelas fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gremengo FCCMZ's protests and gave Batho Canelas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Batho Canelas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Edinho Neto made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Gremengo FCCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Edinho Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
