Independiente del Río's Yin Cheng Han proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente del Río from getting a goal against them. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. Edward Vanderstraeten made a great header on Belgium's corner, it was just that Independiente del Río's Yin Cheng Han managed to reach the ball for a save. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yin Cheng Han read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Independiente del Río's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Sueiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yin Cheng Han made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Sueiro in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Lluba came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independiente del Río's Yin Cheng Han played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 45th minute of play. Ejder Sümer's late challenge caught a Belgium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ejder Sümer helped the player get up and apologised. Ejder Sümer kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Independiente del Río's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Yin Cheng Han reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Independiente del Río defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yin Cheng Han. The Independiente del Río fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yin Cheng Han should have stopped the shot. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Yin Cheng Han didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Yves Dervaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Yves Dervaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yin Cheng Han breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Independiente del Río's goal looked a bit too open when Sander Dermaut came free, but Yin Cheng Han reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. Independiente del Río's Yin Cheng Han played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 83rd minute of play. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Machado Santianes in the 84th minute of play. Yin Cheng Han showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 87th minute of the match. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Independiente del Río defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yin Cheng Han. The Independiente del Río fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yin Cheng Han should have stopped the shot. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Sueiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 98th minute of the match Independiente del Río got a corner. Belgium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adrian Lluba ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Halil Benlioğlu drilling the ball in to score 3-1 behind Belgium's goalkeeper.
