Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Juventus Țiu's Manuel Boteanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Juventus Țiu getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ionel Scripcaru hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Victor Uzuneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Boteanu in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Juventus Țiu's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Dostal came free, but Codruț Gogu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, Alan Rezek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Czech Republic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan Rezek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Manuel Boteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vavrinec Holub stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Boteanu's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When Victor Uzuneanu came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Juventus Țiu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Uzuneanu couldn't finish the play. Victor Uzuneanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Czech Republic's zone, Daniel Mihele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vavrinec Holub came out of the goal and Daniel Mihele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Mihele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Czech Republic's Erik Jilek in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Juventus Țiu's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half Juventus Țiu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Denis Dostal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bohumir Kohout to maneuver through the defense. Victor Uzuneanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 62 minutes, Victor Uzuneanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventus Țiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Uzuneanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th match minute, Juventus Țiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Zbârlea to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Czech Republic's Erik Jilek tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Denis Dostal's late challenge caught a Juventus Țiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Dostal helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Denis Dostal hit a great ball. The Juventus Țiu fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Juventus Țiu's Manuel Boteanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Manuel Boteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Vavrinec Holub made a huge save. Manuel Boteanus short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Vavrinec Holub to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Mihele struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Vavrinec Holub didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventus Țiu. Vavrinec Holub made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Boteanu in the 87th minute. Juventus Țiu's Daniel Mihele got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
