Adria Bielsa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Muhammad Chan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Siong in the 14th minute of play. Muhammad Chan made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Omar Toledo sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute of the match Spain got a corner. Stars's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Omar Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Stars's goalie and right to Vicente Merino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Stars's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stars's goalkeeper Muhammad Chan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Spain were awarded a corner. Omar Toledo went to the cornerflag to take it. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Siong in the 28th minute of play. Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wen Ke Yan in the 30th minute of the match. Muhammad Chan made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Omar Toledo sent off a good shot on target. Wen Ke Yan kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Omar Toledo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Muhammad Chan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Spain booed when Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Urki didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Adria Bielsa sped through Stars's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Muhammad Chan. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Siong was the one to do the kick off. Spain were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Omar Toledo took the corner. Muhammad Chan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 56th minute of the match. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Spain from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute Pau Herrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muhammad Chan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Spain's Gabriel Ascaso got control of the ball when Wen Ke Yan tried to sneak it across the goal line.
