Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Maiorga in the 13th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Sal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Marino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 18th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Sal, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Leandro Marino made a huge save. Lars Meesters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Marino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 37th minute of play forced Villa Dálmine's goalkeeper Leandro Marino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer had several of the Villa Dálmine's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 38 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Leandro Marino as he didn't even see the shot coming. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Maiorga in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 43rdth minute of the game Luis Maiorga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 44th minute, Eulalio Nofre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leandro Marino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 46th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Villa Dálmine's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which David Eikelkamp managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Lordi made a kick off. Isidro Fagildo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lars Meesters in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Villa Dálmine's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 95th minute, Bas Tuitert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Villa Dálmine's Urbano Sandalio tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Netherlands had played much better football throughout.
