Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho Queiroz came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Jan Trzenzalski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Queiroz in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Feteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiberiu Dulgherescu hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Politehnica Iasi's Jorginho Queiroz. But to his dismay, Jorginho Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jorginho Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Germany booed when Politehnica Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Munteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Politehnica Iasi's David Cărtărescu got a free kick in the 31st minute. Emilian Feteanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 37 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorginho Queiroz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 39th minute of play forced Politehnica Iasi's goalkeeper Emilian Feteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Jorginho Queiroz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorginho Queiroz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorginho Queiroz made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Jorginho Queiroz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Queiroz in the 53rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Munteanu made in the 56th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jan Trzenzalski however managed to control. Anton Munteanu scored 4-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Trzenzalski in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Liviu Drăgan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilian Feteanu made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorginho Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Adrian Dreifuss kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorginho Queiroz went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Jorginho Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Politehnica Iasi. In the 91st minute, Jorginho Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Politehnica Iasi fully deserved thier win.
