Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frank Sachs started the match with the kick off. After 7 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. Fausto Mendonças short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Fausto Mendonça scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Kahn, making the score, 2-0. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Naldo Proença read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Fausto Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scarlet Speedster. A sloppy throw-in by Chris Mergenthaler in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Scarlet Speedster's Samuel Quirino. Fausto Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Mendonça to make the kick off. Frank Sachs's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Naldo Proença skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Speedster's Tomas Wallin got a free kick in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Fausto Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Fausto Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Naldo Proença. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head.
