Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shi Li was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A throw-in in the 9th minute of the game was made by Rodolfo Miranda with Felipe Barreto as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Felipe Barreto hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Li got free with Wilson Amorim in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Octavian Soare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavian Soare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 26th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Octavian Soare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Shi Li tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match Galati Harbour Cats got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shi Li to strike the kick off in the second half. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shi Li's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. In the 52ndth minute of the game Shi Li who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Antoni Dembkowski came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Antoni Dembkowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galati Harbour Cats fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Felipe Barreto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Octavian Soare firmly grabbed it by the left post. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Octavian Soare made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Felipinho Amorim sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute of the match Daniel Pimentel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavian Soare showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Ianis Man had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Galati Harbour Cats from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Felipinho Amorim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Octavian Soare. The goal made the score 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shi Li in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute Shi Li shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Li in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Felipinho Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipinho Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavian Soare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 90th minute of play. When Faustino Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portugal's protests and gave Faustino Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Li in the 94th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Shi Li's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Galati Harbour Cats.
