The crowd rose to their feet as Guilherme Heidemann kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After 16 minutes of play, Vasco FC's Moise Zgrăbunţa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! The attack was good, but when Moise Zgrăbunţa in the 23rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moise Zgrăbunţa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 minutes, Willy Stieler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Vasco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franklin Bittencourt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. 30 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Franklin Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Franklin Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. In the 37th minute Zé Carlos Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guilherme Heidemann to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Leandro de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vasco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. The supporters of Germany booed when Vasco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albin Holweck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franklin Bittencourt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goalkeeper Franklin Bittencourt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albin Holweck. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Zgrăbunţa in the 67th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moise Zgrăbunţa scored 3-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Raphael Veiga made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. A collision led to Vasco FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano da Cunha hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Malte Schiele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vasco FC's Franklin Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Vasco FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albin Holweck during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raphael Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Franklin Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasco FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
