Sabit Piruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 10 minutes Trifillia.FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dimitris Vasilakos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rodolfo Miranda took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dimitris Vasilakos. Dimitris Vasilakos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Dimitris Vasilakos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christos Bekos in the 18th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Trifillia.FC's Kostas Proestos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wilson Amorim. That made the score 2-1 after 21 minutes of play. Wilson Amorim was a little too slow when Kostas Proestos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Orixe during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Daniel Pimentel. Dimitris Vasilakos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sabit Piruz made a kick off. With a little luck, Trifillia.FC's Dimitris Vasilakos got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute Christos Bekos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Barreto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dimitris Vasilakos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lu Yin Cheng in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Trifillia.FC's Theo Light was substituted for Aggelos Stamatis. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Soulis Vakros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 78 in the game by Felipinho Amorim from a close distance when the talented Dimitris Vasilakos managed to make a qualified save. Trifillia.FC's players were relieved. If Soulis Vakros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Arturo Orixe threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 85th match minute, Trifillia.FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koulis Benos to maneuver through the defense. In the 86thth minute of the game Viriato Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trifillia.FC's Dimitris Vasilakos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soulis Vakros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Felipinho Amorim took a quick shot and it went in 4-3 without a chance for Dimitris Vasilakos to make any attempt to save it. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Soulis Vakros in the 97th minute of play. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
