Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Humberto Escobar started the match with the kick off. When ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Humberto Escobar in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. The corner led ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Guillermo Escalona to fire away a dangerous shot which Tommy Kahn despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 18th minute of play forced ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goalkeeper Juan Benavides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Guillermo Escalona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Humberto Escobar sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the match, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Juan Benavides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Martín Ulloa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Humberto Escobar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. After 42 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. After a rather tough play, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Ren Peng Fei got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Albin Holweck was extremely unlucky when he, in the 51st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 54 minutes into the match, Humberto Escobar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Escobar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. If Humberto Escobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Humberto Escobar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 75thth minute of the game Humberto Escobar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Escobar came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Humberto Escobar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Humberto Escobar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. Germany's Adrian Dreifuss managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Matias Moreno in the 81 minute of the game. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martín Ulloa in the 87th minute of play. Sven Krakouer charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven Krakouer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Sven Krakouer hit a great ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Giancarlo Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Giancarlo Mora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martín Ulloa in the 93rd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Germany players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ►Las Mercedes F.C◄.
