An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 6th minute of play forced Rosario Central's goalkeeper Julio Garay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toto Mansilla charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toto Mansilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Rosario Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toto Mansilla to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Antal Valentin hit a great ball. Julio Garay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Leopoldo Baraquiel hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudio Cordera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fodor Daniel. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. In the 23rd minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Garay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Garay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The wind increased when Leopoldo Baraquiel made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Julio Garay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Garay came out of the goal in the 50th minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Takacs Tibor. But to his dismay, Takacs Tibor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 53rd minute Boros Benedek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Garay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Hungary's Antal Valentin stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Julio Garay stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Rosario Central of the goal. The audience was convinced that Major Barna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Garay was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Julio Garay made a huge save. In the 79th minute, Hungary's Hegedus Henrik dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Julio Garay in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leopoldo Baraquiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rosario Central's Julio Garay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Rosario Central from getting a goal against them. The Hungary supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hungary would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
