Virgílio Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané da Costa in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Albin Holweck dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cafu Toledo, 1-0. Ronaldão Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scarlet Speedster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcel Gerber in the 35th minute. Scarlet Speedster's Marcel Gerber was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tommy Kahn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 37th minute, Mané da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cafu Toledo made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgílio Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Scarlet Speedster defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cafu Toledo. The Scarlet Speedster fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cafu Toledo should have stopped the shot. Scarlet Speedster's Virgílio Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute Mané da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Allan Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Albin Holweck took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cafu Toledo. Cafu Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cafu Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 75th minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Cafu Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mané da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Branco's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Branco helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Branco. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Virgílio Perez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Mané da Costa struck a weak shot in the 88th minute.
