Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Chaves came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Dragões Barbudos FC's Pedro Augusto Coutinho in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. In the 14th minute, Gustavo Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Lars Meesters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Chaves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Pedro Augusto Coutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dragões Barbudos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Chaves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 41st minute. Daniel Chaves was a little too slow when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-1. Dragões Barbudos FC's Daniel Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Dragões Barbudos FC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 55th minute of play forced Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Daniel Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Egbert Nijveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Chaves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Chaves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Daniel Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Idalécio Baldaia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Daniel Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 88th minute of play. Daniel Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Coutinho in the 92nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dragões Barbudos FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Netherlands.
