If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Remicio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 14th minute of play. Lino Remicio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Remicio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 22nd minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Remicio having to make a save. Wim Wilmes scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lino Remicio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Eikelkamp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Remicio having to make a save. 32 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lino Remicio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Lino Remicio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 43rd minute of the match. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Bartolo Ospetsu sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartolo Ospetsu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Frontera VC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Lino Remicio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Frontera VC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Remicio should have stopped the shot. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 70 minutes, Bartolo Ospetsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frontera VC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Ospetsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Ospetsu in the 76th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Lino Remicio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Lino Remicio 82 minutes into the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Lino Remicio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frontera VC's Lino Remicio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Frontera VC from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute, Przemyslaw Bejgier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Frontera VC throughout the match.
