Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Régis de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Donato's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Donato helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Leonardo Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iustin Bungeanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. Iustin Bungeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 31st minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Dênis Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. Dênis Miranda hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Régis de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Leonardo Donato was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 39 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Roderick Oosterhof. Iustin Bungeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Bungeanu in the 52nd minute of play. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Bungeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Balazs Lajos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Régis de Queirós made a huge save. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Régis de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Hegedus Henrik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Hegedus Henrik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Régis de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antal Valentin came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Régis de Queirós could save by the left post. When Hegedus Henrik fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hungary's protests and gave Hegedus Henrik a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hegedus Henrik to maneuver through the defense. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 81st minute. The corner ended in Major Barna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós did a great save. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Fantini in the 93rd minute of the match. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hungary played a much better game than Palmeiras and deserved their victory. The Palmeiras players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
