Uwe Septinius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Federico Insúa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Los Liquisue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Uwe Septinius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uwe Septinius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 36th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Maureo got free with Wilson Amorim in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, Caetano Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caetano Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Guillermo Maureo tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. After some careless play in the Los Liquisue FC defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uwe Septinius. The Los Liquisue FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uwe Septinius should have stopped the shot. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uwe Septinius having to make a save. With a little luck, Los Liquisue FC's Uwe Septinius got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uwe Septinius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Aureo in the 70th minute of the match. After 76 minutes of play, Los Liquisue FC's Abel Aureo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Bartolomeu Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Paolo Xabat in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. Daniel Pimentel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Uwe Septinius. Los Liquisue FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Felipinho Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Uwe Septinius made a huge save. In the 91st minute, Bartolomeu Dias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Uwe Septinius. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 96th minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Daniel Pimentel went to the cornerflag to take it. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
