Marco Assendelft might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxime Durand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Assendelft ran back to his position shaking his head. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Assendelft in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, De hijgende Hertjes's Robert Mos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Marco Assendelft's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maxime Durand was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After some careless play in the France defense, Marco Assendelft kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maxime Durand. The France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maxime Durand should have stopped the shot. Maxime Durand was a little too slow when Marco Assendelft got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 3-0. Rudolf Meulman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Peletier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Marco Assendelft made the kick off in the second half. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Assendelft in the 59th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Assendelft in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Assendelft took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maxime Durand. Maxime Durand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 71st minute Mehmet Akif Okutman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Assendelft came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Rudolf Meulman managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when France's Frank Peletier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Marco Assendelft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Assendelft, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as France's Camille Baume slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rudolf Meulman. That made the score 5-1 after 80 minutes of play. After 85 minutes France's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alex Belém who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to De hijgende Hertjes's Hans Haan getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a rather tough play, De hijgende Hertjes's Yong 典韦 got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Marco Assendelft's late challenge caught a France's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Assendelft helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, De hijgende Hertjes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Assendelft to maneuver through the defense. Frank Peletier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. De hijgende Hertjes had won after a very even match.
