The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Aragones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Cássio da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. São José City - FSCMZ's Primo Mazzola was substituted for Cássio Rocha. A collision led to São José City - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Cássio da Silva hit a great ball. Kees Mooiweer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lino Mazza. São José City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Genaro Aragones made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to São José City - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Cássio da Silva hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes São José City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Aragones. 71 minutes into the game, São José City - FSCMZ's Genaro Aragones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Kees Mooiweer made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lars Meesters immediately put the ball in play. 78 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lino Mazza, 1-2. In the 86th minute, Bas Tuitert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than São José City - FSCMZ.
