In the 15th match minute, GD Almargense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Eanes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Benedito Rebelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. GD Almargense's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Rebelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Benedito Rebelo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the GD Almargense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedito Rebelo couldn't finish the play. In the 26th match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yves Dervaux to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Adérito Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, GD Almargense's Jacinto Baldaia got a free kick in the 30th minute. Guillaume Bonte's late challenge caught a GD Almargense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillaume Bonte helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Edward Vanderstraeten put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Claudemiro Tristão. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 42nd minute of play forced GD Almargense's goalkeeper Claudemiro Tristão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Eiró in the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudemiro Tristão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudemiro Tristão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. Edward Vanderstraeten in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claudemiro Tristão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Sabbe in the 85th minute of play. Claudemiro Tristão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yves Dervaux in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Claudemiro Tristão in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yves Dervaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Claudemiro Tristão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Belgium failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
