Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andrei Măgură took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicodim Iacobeanu having to interfere. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Măgură, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Kenn Skou. In the 11th minute, Alin Teodorescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrei Măgură in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Andrei Măgură reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Keld Paulsen. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 24th minute, Alin Teodorescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 26th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Simon Bendtsen. Fc Otelul Galati's Andrei Măgură got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Alin Teodorescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Mathias Ludvigsen hit a great ball. Ion Ailincai made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Lars Steen. Emanuel Arsenescu hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Nygaard made a kick off. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Măgură in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute Alin Teodorescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristide Drăgan in the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Denmark's Mikkel Wulff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicodim Iacobeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Andrei Măgură had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicodim Iacobeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bertram Svenningsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Alin Teodorescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 89th minute of play forced Fc Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nicodim Iacobeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fc Otelul Galati's Ionică Apostu got a free kick in the 90th minute. Bertram Svenningsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Nicodim Iacobeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Basarab Chelbea fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Otelul Galati's protests and gave Basarab Chelbea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, Basarab Chelbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Alin Teodorescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Denmark were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
