Flemming Derigs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Liquisue FC's zone, Felipe Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Septinius came out of the goal and Felipe Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natalio Henrico might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natalio Henrico ran back to his position shaking his head. Federico Insúa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Insúa in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Maureo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Federico Insúa came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Los Liquisue FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Insúa couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Rodolfo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Federico Insúas short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Wilson Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Insúa in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the game, Guillermo Maureo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim. Guillermo Maureo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Uwe Septinius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Uwe Septinius in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uwe Septinius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 52nd minute.
