If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goražd Djordjević in the 7th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, England's Konstantin Pančur threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kyle Cox, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Goražd Djordjević's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Khalid Kennedy was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Roni Hafner hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes, Radomir Hostar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HIT Gorica and the England players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as England's Kyle Cox slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Konstantin Pančur. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Konstantin Pančur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, HIT Gorica's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Cox came free, but Konstantin Pančur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to HIT Gorica getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Vasilije Sedlak hit a great ball. In the 34th minute of the match, Kyle Cox tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Konstantin Pančur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Micah Macdonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the game, Micah Macdonald cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Konstantin Pančur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyle Cox stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Konstantin Pančur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caelan Hayes went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Konstantin Pančur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Micah Macdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Konstantin Pančur came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by England's Micah Macdonald. But to his dismay, Micah Macdonald quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When Goražd Djordjević came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the HIT Gorica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Goražd Djordjević couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Xavier Gallagher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The England fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. A collision led to HIT Gorica getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Anis Doberšek hit a great ball. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Issac Dawson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khalid Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roni Hafner, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 90 minutes into the game, HIT Gorica's Roni Hafner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Khalid Kennedy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. England fully deserved thier win.
