An unexpectedly hard shot by Goražd Djordjević in the 11th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Simon Bendtsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Goražd Djordjević sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, HIT Gorica's Goražd Djordjević dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roni Hafner in the 19th minute of the match. Denmark's Olav Graversen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vasilije Sedlak, made in the 21st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Goražd Djordjević got free with Keld Paulsen in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Goražd Djordjević succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. With 36 minutes on the clock, Mathias Ludvigsen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 35 minutes into the game, one of Denmark:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 37 minutes into the match, Erland Apelkvist notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chris Nygaard kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Anis Doberšek kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Goražd Djordjević made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Vasilije Sedlak threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 56 minutes into the game, Set Nenadić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HIT Gorica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. In the 55th minute, one of HIT Gorica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for HIT Gorica. HIT Gorica:s Konstantin Pančur showed great skill when he stopped Chris Nygaard:s penalty. After some careless play in the HIT Gorica defense, Chris Nygaard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Konstantin Pančur. The HIT Gorica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Konstantin Pančur should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Roni Hafner came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Denmark's Konstantin Pančur threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bertram Svenningsen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vasilije Sedlak made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Olav Graversen. In the 69th minute, Denmark's Mikkel Wulff dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. After having played for 73 minutes, Mikkel Wulff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikkel Wulff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anis Doberšek made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Erland Apelkvist. HIT Gorica's Lovrencij Brezavšček suffered a sore thigh after 85 minutes and couldn't finish the game. HIT Gorica's Gaber Furlan was substituted for Lovrencij Brezavšček. In the 87th minute, Bertram Svenningsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Chris Nygaard. In the 88th minute of the match Erland Apelkvist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keld Paulsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Frederik in the 95th minute of the match. Denmark's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because HIT Gorica had won, even though Denmark had held more of the ball.
