The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 16th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janik Vogt to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Roberto Nóbrega in the 17th minute of the match. Bola Quadrada FC's Cipriano Firmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Firmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Bola Quadrada FC's Kauan Bittencourt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. Toninho Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute Ni Guo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute of the match Bola Quadrada FC got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tibo Huijsmans ran over to the corner to take the kick. A hard shot 38 in the game by Zé Roberto Nóbrega from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Bittencourt in the 41st minute of play.

In the 50th minute Zé Roberto Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bola Quadrada FC's Cipriano Firmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 59th minute of play. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Zé Roberto Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Bola Quadrada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Roberto Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. After 72 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tibo Huijsmans who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Tibo Huijsmans almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. Cipriano Firmin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 77th minute. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cipriano Firmin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. 87 minutes into the match, Zé Roberto Nóbrega notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Nóbrega in the 90th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauan Bittencourt in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
