Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Ferreira in the 10th minute of play. Armando Ruano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 13th minute of play. If Betinho Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Eduardo Nunes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Tommy Kahn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Guarei FC's Luiz Eduardo Nunes got a free kick in the 28th minute. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Guarei FC's Luiz Eduardo Nunes. But to his dismay, Luiz Eduardo Nunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Ruano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Betinho Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guarei FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 46 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Eduardo Nunes. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Betinho Ferreira made a kick off. Guarei FC's Armando Ruano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes Guarei FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frank Sachs who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Germany's Frank Sachs to fire away a dangerous shot which Armando Ruano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kacper Burdalski scored 6-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Betinho Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betinho Ferreira's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Guarei FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janik Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Thomás Moura shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guarei FC's 石朗思 was substituted for Luiz Eduardo Nunes. Guarei FC made a substitution. Macky Mackenzie replaced Thomás Moura. In the 76th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betinho Ferreira in the 81st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Armando Ruano in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Betinho Ferreira sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betinho Ferreira's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Kléberson Paraíba notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guarei FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
