After a defensive mix-up in Tigre das Américas's zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Édouard Mendy came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Tigre das Américas's Cipriano Proença dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Proença in the 29th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Proença in the 32nd minute of the match. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Proença's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Tigre das Américas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Proença in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tigre das Américas's Umur Sehhar got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Edward Vanderstraeten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Édouard Mendy having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Raphael Madureira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tigre das Américas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgium the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tigre das Américas's Raphael Madureira got a free kick in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Proença to make the kick off. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Sotil in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Cipriano Proença notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Belgium's Casper Claes. Casper Claes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Proença in the 60th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Tigre das Américas's Édouard Mendy got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tigre das Américas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten scored to the left of an out of position Édouard Mendy, making the score, 2-2. Casper Claes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, Tigre das Américas's Cipriano Proença sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edward Vanderstraeten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Édouard Mendy having to interfere. Édouard Mendy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 98 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Tavares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Tavares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. The Tigre das Américas players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
