Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dietbald Ströbele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 7 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balazs Lajos to maneuver through the defense. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebius Smolarek, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Mangúrov in the 38th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Junior Shevchenko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Junior Shevchenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebius Smolarek in the 49th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Junior Shevchenko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 55th minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Dietbald Ströbele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dietbald Ströbele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 57th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Hegedus Henrik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hungary and the Manchester United FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Hegedus Henrik got a free kick in the 60th minute. Dietbald Ströbele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Manchester United FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 67th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dietbald Ströbele quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dietbald Ströbele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Takacs Tibor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manchester United FC's Dietbald Ströbele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Manchester United FC booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Major Barna didn't get a good kick on the ball.
