With a little luck, Arsenal FC's Songur Yoran got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Arsenal FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Arsenal FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Netherlands's performance. The match ended with a win for Netherlands.
