An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 14th minute of play forced Pajala Sunrise's goalkeeper Daniel Hök to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Yngve Sandström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pajala Sunrise's supporters rose to their feet, but Yngve Sandström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the game, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Hök made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 29 minutes into the match, Pajala Sunrise's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Daniel Hök reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Hök showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 31st minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Hök. Daniel Hök dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Hök. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yngve Sandström was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Eikelkamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Daniel Hök made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Kees Mooiweer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pajala Sunrise's Arne Tingelholm was substituted for Gýmir Gryc. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Kees Mooiweer hit a great ball. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Niaz Njoom tried in the game's 70th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Daniel Hök. An annoying self made goal, 0-6. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Pajala Sunrise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Lindman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Pajala Sunrise's Daniel Hök got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 84th minute of play forced Pajala Sunrise's goalkeeper Daniel Hök to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Hök. Daniel Hök dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Hök read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Daniel Hök made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 91st minute. Kent Odén hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a good shot, in the 93rd minute, which hit the crossbar above Daniel Hök's head, and flew over the goal. Pajala Sunrise's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Netherlands. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Pajala Sunrise's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Wim Wilmes advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-8 in the 98th minute. The Pajala Sunrise fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
