Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Valdemar Kuoppala got the match started through his kick off. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taisto Pentsinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Edwin van der Sar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Manchester United FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Matias Johansson hit a great ball. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Kuoppala in the 19th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match, Zaccheo Andolina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edwin van der Sar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdemar Kuoppala in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Vittori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sigfrido Auletta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zaccheo Andolina to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the game Akseli Ilola made a throw-in which Eero Uusipaavalniemi played forward. 54 minutes into the game, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin van der Sar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taisto Pentsinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Taisto Pentsinen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 80th minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 84th minute of the match. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Akseli Ilola, made in the 88th minute of the game. In the 89th minute Adriano Curto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Adriano Curto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edwin van der Sar. Manchester United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adriano Curto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Italy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
