After 6 played minutes São Brás FC got a freekick which was hit by Silviu Buciuman. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Puskás in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Eulalio Puskás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Fernandes in the 16th minute of play. Eulalio Puskás scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cecilio Polo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, David Eikelkamp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Cecilio Polo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 25th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, São Brás FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Cecilio Polo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on São Brás FC's corner Zachary Zdrojowy fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Fernandes in the 43rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind São Brás FC's goalkeeper Cecilio Polo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Fernandes in the 54th minute of play. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, São Brás FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Cecilio Polo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Puskás came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th match minute, São Brás FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piara Turko to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piara Turko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, São Brás FC's Cecilio Polo got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Torcato Pacheco hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Zachary Zdrojowy was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, one of São Brás FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cecilio Polo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. Eulalio Puskás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wim Wilmes kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute of the game, Egbert Nijveldt landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Piara Turko was shown his second yellow card after 97 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Netherlands's Kevin Drogt was substituted for Egbert Nijveldt. Piara Turko kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. The Netherlands players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented São Brás FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
