The referee ignored Rio Pardo MZC's protests and gave Manfredo Siqueira a yellow card for diving instead. 12 minutes into the game, Rio Pardo MZC's Maximiliano Lalatu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enéas Lago went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Maximiliano Lalatu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Viana came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gavril Jula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enéas Lago in the 33rd minute of play. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enéas Lago in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 79th minute of play forced Rio Pardo MZC's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the match, Rio Pardo MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Luís Guilherme Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
