When Theis Winther fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Theis Winther a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Pagliuca got free with Keld Paulsen in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergio Aguirre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bertram Svenningsen's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 30 minutes, Chris Nygaard made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Anunnaki FC's Sergio Aguirre tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Denmark's Mikkel Wulff got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Pagliuca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Keld Paulsen didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Anunnaki FC's Alex Pagliuca shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

55 minutes into the game, Alex Pagliuca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anunnaki FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. The supporters of Denmark booed when Anunnaki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Pagliuca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chris Nygaards short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Sergio Aguirre to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Pagliuca in the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th match minute, Anunnaki FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Ascoli to maneuver through the defense. Anunnaki FC's Antonio Di Lillo was substituted for Davide Attili. Mikkel Wulff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Denmark booed when Anunnaki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Piattelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chris Nygaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Sergio Aguirre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edoardo Spinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute Alex Pagliuca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denmark's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
