The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gabriel Ascaso came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Minuim SS's Mikail Yerhum. But to his dismay, Mikail Yerhum quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mikail Yerhum in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Ascaso saved Spain from getting behind. After 44 minutes, Mikail Yerhum made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Toledo to make the kick off. Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikail Yerhum in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the match Minuim SS got a corner. Spain's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Travassos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Minuim SS's Daniel Travassos to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Ascaso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Eduardo Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Ruiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Sidnei Travassos hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
