Ismael Vellito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Arnout Reekers managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Shuspendemo's Mauro Boselli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 16th minute of play forced Shuspendemo's goalkeeper Ismael Vellito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Vellito was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute, Bas Tuitert had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Réda Kolb fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shuspendemo's protests and gave Réda Kolb a yellow card for diving instead. Netherlands's Kevin Drogt was substituted for Bas Tuitert. After 27 played minutes Shuspendemo got a freekick which was hit by Réda Kolb. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Shuspendemo's Ismael Vellito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes Shuspendemo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Shuspendemo's Ismael Vellito did a great save. Ismael Vellito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Mauro Boselli reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnout Reekers. The goal made the score 1-2. Ismael Vellito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 39th minute of play. Ismael Vellito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Réda Kolb hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Séamus Babasidis hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Shuspendemo made a substitution. Amado Laurin replaced Silverio Francho. Ismael Vellito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 60th minute of the match. A collision led to Shuspendemo getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Freddy Erauso hit a great ball. Shuspendemo's Venancio Kepa was substituted for Réda Kolb. In the 68th minute, Freddy Erauso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Ihazintu in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute of the match Shuspendemo got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucas Rivas ran over to the corner to take the kick. 84 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Boselli came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
