Flavio Vittori was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Italy booed when Merusca F&P was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Meleșcanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 44th minute of play forced Merusca F&P's goalkeeper Mauro-Facundo Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Merusca F&P's Fabian Meleșcanu got a free kick in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the game, Vihar Perchemliev threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Merusca F&P's Geovani Mangueira got a free kick in the 68th minute. Merusca F&P made a substitution. Marcinho Sabóia replaced Fumanchu Ponta. Merusca F&P's Hélder Fonseca was substituted for Florian Capasso. Geovani Mangueira hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match.
