An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo dos Santos in the 4th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 10th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Tino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Östman in the 13th minute of play. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes Swindon Sweden FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reynaldo Tino quite easily take care of the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Reynaldo Tino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Brian Falck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a free kick in the 26th minute. Sven-Erik Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kurt Haglund went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ronaldo dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Reynaldo Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Brian Falck. After 58 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Tino was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 61 played minutes Swindon Sweden FF got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Lindberg. Reynaldo Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 67th minute of the match. Reynaldo Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Reynaldo Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 71st minute of play. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Reynaldo Tino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Swindon Sweden FF's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Tino came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo dos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Tino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Sven-Erik Lindberg sent off a good shot on target. Gustaaf Groeneveldt succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. Netherlands were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Swindon Sweden FF for a fine match.
