Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Basarab Irod got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 8 minutes, Marin Giubelean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Rio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marin Giubelean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Coșeriu in the 10th minute of the match. Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Rio from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basarab Irod's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Gigel Tilea made a huge save. 18 minutes into the game, Academia Rio's Basarab Irod nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Irod in the 23rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Tilea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Krakouer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's Lucian Petriceanu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Coșeriu in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergiu Coșeriu in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute Basarab Irod shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Gigel Tilea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Sergiu Coșeriu sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Germany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lucian Petriceanu was slow to take the kick. During this time Academia Rio's players had a chance to rest. Malte Schiele tried in the 64th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Tommy Kahn a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-2. In a very dangerous position, a player in Germany fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Tommy Kahn had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Lucian Petriceanu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball In the 69th minute, Lucian Petriceanu made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 71st minute, Marin Giubelean reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommy Kahn. The goal made the score 1-4. Basarab Irod succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 75th playminute. Albin Holweck charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Holweck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 82 minutes, Sergiu Coșeriu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Rio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergiu Coșeriu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Academia Rio were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucian Petriceanu took the corner. The corner led Academia Rio's Lucian Petriceanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Tommy Kahn despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sven Krakouer tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Tommy Kahn. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-6 in the 86th minute. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Krakouer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Jean Oltean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Rio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. When the match was over Academia Rio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Germany throughout the match.
